London Highlights
Waking up before anyone else in my family on Monday morning (a rare moment, I know) and sitting in a wonderful café reading Time Out London, sipping a latte, and eating salmon and spinach quiche. The patisserie was so crowded that I first shared a small table with a man reading the morning paper and then, when he’d left, a friendly, older woman. The Tower of London and the accompanying Beefeater tour. An excellent play at the Young Vic: Brothers Size. Three actors. A chalk circle. An intimate theatre. Excellence. Unfortunately their performance season was over, but I still managed to tour the Globe Theatre. It's smaller than I expected--seeing that space puts Shakespeare's plays in a whole new perspective.Labels: London, travel
