    Catch the Moon

Words and Music by Dawn Xiana Moon

Diamonds changed to pearls are falling sadly from my crown
But jewels cut with their own dust reluctantly go down
I'm aching, hungry, ravenous for knowledge of the truth
But these late night ramblings leave me little proof

Dawn looks off to morning light who wishes she would stay
But in her heart she knows she can't--maybe another day
Happily ever after knight and girl ride into sun
But little does the couple think together could be done

Should I try to catch the moon
Or am I leaving you too soon
    Is this fantasy my own
Or will I one day be alone

Stone-faced horses say in love I've all the world to lose
Decisions must be careful for the bronze chest I must choose
Insomnia, I'm losing sleep, the night turns into day
Look into my eyes--they voice the fears that I can't say

I try to catch the moon but it's so far away
And I'm leaving all I know
I try to catch the moon--is it out of my reach?
    I'm leaving all I know

'Cause all I know is in your eyes.
